AFP Reacts to Vote on Upton's Keep Your Health Plan Act

November 16, 2013

HARTFORD — AFP-CT State Director JR Romano issued the following statement on today’s passage by the House of Representative Upton’s Keep Your Health Plan Act of 2013 (H.R. 3350).  The bill passed the House by a vote of 261-157.
“We are very disappointed today that Representatives Larson, DeLauro, Himes and Courtney all voted against the families of Connecticut who are losing their insurance.  They voted in support of the original ObamaCare bill which has proven to be a disaster and are now making it worse by voting against solutions to help suffering middle class families.  Today was a sad demonstration that politics is more important than policy.”
