Tell Mayor Rohde NO Veto!

July 14, 2013

Thanks in large part to your efforts, the Meriden City Council has voted to rescind the Project Labor Agreement (PLA) on the Maloney high school renovation.

This is a good decision by the City Council as the PLA has pushed the project millions of dollars over budget, which comes directly out of the wallets of the local taxpayers.

Now, Mayor Michael Rohde is considering vetoing the City Council’s fiscally prudent decision.

You can read more about it HERE.

We need you to contact Mayor Rohde and tell him NOT to veto this decision.

You can CLICK HERE to email him directly.

As you may recall, last year, Mayor Rohde cast the tie-breaking vote mandating a PLA for the Maloney high school renovation.

A PLA limits bidding competition and thereby increases the cost of the project for the taxpayers!

Mayor Rohde may veto this decision as early as Monday so please Email Mayor Rohde this weekend and ask him not to veto this City Council decision rescinding the PLA.

Your efforts helped get us this far.  Email the Mayor this weekend and help us save taxpayer dollars in Meriden!
