“Citizen Watchdog Training” to Help Colorado Activists Hold Officials Accountable
Denver, CO – Americans for Prosperity-Colorado, partnering with the Franklin Center and Revealing Politics, will be hosting two “Citizen Watchdog Training” events in Colorado this week in Loveland and Denver. These events will train activists how to use investigative reporting tools and skills and how to hold elected officials accountable and be influential through social media.
“Across the state, there is simply too much waste, fraud, and abuse facilitated by our elected officials every day,” said Jeff Crank, Americans for Prosperity-Colorado State Director. “We want to equip our activists with the tools they need to be effective Citizen Watchdogs so they can hold our officials accountable in order to pull our country from this fiscal crisis.”
The all-day training includes talks from experts and journalists on topics including “Social Media 101,” “Investigative Reporting,” and “Maximizing Your Breaking News Story.”
