Americans for Prosperity Asks Attorney General Suthers to Stand up to EPA
“new rules will have a serious impact on job creation and economic growth in Colorado”
DENVER – Americans for Prosperity – Colorado today released a letter urging Colorado Attorney General John Suthers to join twelve other state attorney generals in their lawsuit against the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed regulations on traditional energy production. The letter highlights the specific costs that the rules would have on Colorado and the need to stand up for local jobs and energy production.
“Coloradans need Attorney General Suthers to stand up for jobs and low-cost energy production in our state,” explained Dustin Zvonek, Colorado State Director of Americans for Prosperity. “The EPA’s latest, ideologically-driven power grab threatens to cost our state billions of dollars and reduce employment by as many as 80,000 jobs. By joining the lawsuit with twelve of his fellow attorney generals John Suthers can take real action to protect Coloradans from the EPA’s overreach.”
Last month Americans for Prosperity cohosted a massive rally in front of the state capitol with hundreds of miners and concerned citizens who oppose the new rules. The rally took place the day prior to the EPA’s Denver townhall.
