Protests to Greet Obama in Colorado
Is Obamacare a Tax?
New AFP Campaign Won’t Let President Duck the Question
Is it, or isn’t it, a tax? We’re talking about Obamacare, of course.
The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that it is a tax, but President Obama insists that his signature program, a government takeover of healthcare, isn’t a tax, which would make him the biggest tax-hiker in history, given the program’s estimated $1.7 trillion price tag. Americans for Prosperity- Colorado won’t allow President Obama to duck such a critically-important question this election season. It’s launching a new website and initiative — called soundslikeatax.com — in order to keep this issue foremost in the public’s mind.
The theme of the campaign is simple and straightforward.
If Obamacare looks like a tax,
And it acts like a tax . . .
And it quacks like a tax . . . . .
Then it must be a tax.
The soundslikeatax.com effort kicks-off today with the launch of a new website, which includes a petition calling for the health law’s total repeal, and an anti-Obamacare protest coinciding with the President’s visit to Colorado State University today in Fort Collins. Look for protesters wearing duck garb, listen for their duck calls, which we’ll use to remind people of the fact Obama is ducking the issue, and you’ll find our group.
