State Director David Spady Biography

In 2008 David Spady founded Media and Public Affairs Strategy, a strategic media and political consulting agency. With over 16 years experience in media and politics, both in California and nationwide, Spady has established a consulting agency specializing in grassroots advocacy and political engagement through new media.
Prior to launching Media and Public Affairs Strategy, Spady worked with Salem Communications Corporation (SALM: Nasdaq), where he served as Director of National News and Public Affairs for seven years. In this capacity he was responsible for developing corporate resources and services to enhance program quality and delivery for 35 nationally syndicated and local talk shows.
Spady spearheaded startup operations for Salems entry into news/talk online and the eventual acquisition of Townhall.com. Spady continues to coordinate Salem Communications political, government and regulatory affairs and Salems corporate political action committee (SALPAC).
From 1992 through 2000 Spady consulted for numerous political campaigns and political organizations in California, Montana and Tennessee. He has worked in the entertainment industry as a lighting technician on movies, television shows and documentaries. Spady is a member of the Council for National Policy and has served on the Ventura County Boy Scouts of America board for seven years. He is an avid traveler and has visited 21 countries.
Spady earned an undergraduate degree in Communications from Azusa Pacific University (1988) and a masters degree in National Security Studies from California State University San Bernardino (1995).
He lives in Camarillo, California, with his wife and three children.
