California Summit Draws Capacity Crowd

California Summit Draws Capacity Crowd

January 31, 2008

A capacity crowd gathered in a packed ballroom at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village, California, for Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s Defending the American Dream Summit on Wednesday.

Former Governor Mike Huckabee, radio hosts Hugh Hewitt and Dennis Prager, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, John Coupal of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers’ Association, former Congressman Bob McEwan, and many other state and local officials addressed Americans for Prosperity members from across California, just days before the critical primary.

The California event follows AFP Summits in Michigan and Florida, which also drew capacity crowds, presidential candidates, and other prominent officials. They are the first of what will be 20 Summits in states across the country this year, following up on the huge success of the over 1,600 Americans for Prosperity members that attended the national Defending the American Dream Summit in October.
