AFP on GDP Revision: Working Families Need Relief from Obama Agenda

June 25, 2014

Arlington, Va. — Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips released the following statement regarding news that first quarter GDP was revised down to -2.9%, the worst contraction in five years:

“Much of the Obama administration was holed up at the Working Families Summit earlier this week, talking over solutions for those who are struggling in this environment. To them, AFP members have a modest proposal: stop shrinking the American economy. From uncertainty caused by the president’s regulatory whim, to the burdens of ObamaCare, to the lack of a federal budget for years on end, this administration has made the complexities of a 21st century recovery all the more difficult. America’s working families can get back to prospering if the president will agree to start rolling back the punitive taxes, bloated bureaucracy and red tape shackling our economy, and reopen the door to opportunity for our country.”
