Measuring the Impact of Obamacare in Arkansas

May 28, 2014

The Washington Post has compiled information on what changes each state should expect from the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare). To read the full article please click here.

Facts and numbers don’t lie. And things aren’t looking too grand for Arkansans. At least $1,277 more dollars out of your savings if you have an individual plan. Families will see, at a minimum, $4,186 more dollars out of their family budget. And how many more people will be classified as “uninsured?” That number will reach at least 30,300 people. As we continue to say, this is about people – not politics. Obamacare just doesn’t work, and it continues to hurt peoples’ ability to provide for themselves and their families.

Below is a ten year enrollment estimate based on each state’s Medicaid decision and their respective insurance marketplace.
