Fight for Healthcare Freedom Isn't Over
Little Rock, AR – Americans for Prosperity – Arkansas reaffirmed its commitment to full repeal of President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in response to the Supreme Court’s decision this morning.
“Today, the Supreme Court ruled to uphold the President’s healthcare law. This is simply not the healthcare reform Americans needed. It created a trillion-‐dollar government takeover of healthcare that gives too much control to Washington and not enough to patients and their doctors, all while threatening to impose a tax on those who don’t participate,” said Teresa Oelke, State Director of AFP-AR. “Nothing changes the fact that this law is bad policy and should be immediately repealed.”
AFP-Arkansas has vigorously opposed President Obama’s health care law with over 100 events and presentations in front of tens of thousands of Arkansans.
“Real healthcare reform is reform that is efficient, effective and patient-‐ centered. A wasteful, Washington-‐centered plan is simply not what Americans want or need,” Oelke continued. “Americans for Prosperity will continue to drive this message home in the months ahead with rallies and events telling Congress ‘Hands Off My Health Care.’”
