Americans for Prosperity Statement on Low ObamaCare Enrollment
Americans for Prosperity – Arkansas State Director Jason Cline released the following statement in reaction to the first report on ObamaCare enrollment from the US Department of Health and Human Services:
“The irony would be funny if it weren’t tragic for many of Americans: Team Obama can’t find anywhere near the 800,000 signups for the new health care law it set for it’s October goal, while across the nation over 4 million Americans have lost their existing coverage. In Arkansas alone, HHS could only scrounge up 250 people who have placed a health insurance plan in their “shopping cart,” but who knows if any of those have even purchased a plan.
The only “success” Arkansas has had is auto-enrollment of thousands of new Medicaid recipients, placing more of our most vulnerable citizens at the mercy of an increasingly limited doctor pool. We need real health insurance reform that enables more people to keep the coverage and doctors they love.”
