Rally for Keystone XL in Cushing, OK on Thursday

March 20, 2012 J

[img_assist|nid=26985|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=300|height=200]President Obama will be making a photo-op stop in Cushing, Oklahoma on Thursday, March 22 at 9:30 a.m. Interestingly enough this happens to be the "pipeline crossroads of the world" and, as we're sure you remember, the Keystone Pipeline (Keystone XL) would've been a big deal for jobs and businesses in Cushing and here at home in Arkansas.

Unfortunately for us, though, the pipeline was made into a political game and, as Senator Mark Pryor said recently, probably won't be approved until after the election.

With that said, AFP-Arkansas is asking people to join us as we head to Cushign, OK to let the President know how we view his decision on Keystone XL. The details are below. We hope to see you there!

When: Thursday, March 22, 2012
Where: 2 buses will leave from AFP-Arkansas HQ (1800 S. 52nd in Rogers, AR) at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.

The same presumptions of superior wisdom and virtue behind the interventionism of Progressive Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson in the domestic economy also led them to be interventionists in other countries.

Theodore Roosevelt was so determined that the United States should intervene against Spain's suppression of an uprising in Cuba that he quit his post as Assistant Secretary of the Navy to organize his own private military force -- called "Rough Riders" -- to fight in what became the Spanish-American war.

Restoring American Exceptionalism Simulcast in

January 19, 2012 J

This from our sister organization's (Americans for Prosperity Foundation - Arkansas) website. We hope to see you there!

American 15-year-olds rank 35th out of 57 countries in math and literacy!
America shouldn’t be 35th in anything. It’s time to Restore American Exceptionalism!

Rather than protecting and promoting failure, let’s put our kids first. Let’s do even more to support the teachers and the schools that are succeeding, but let’s hold those that are failing firmly accountable. Whether it’s a private school, a charter school, or a traditional public school, parents should have the right to choose the school that will do the best job educating my children. Every child deserves the best education we can give them – and every family has a right to choose the education that’s best for their child.
