AFP's very own Nicole Kaeding wrote an excellent article on why states should decide against any healthcare exchanges. The end result is limited or no freedom in our own healthcare decisions. Anyone who continues to tout that these "exchanges" would be our own (especially after taking Federal money to set them up) is kidding themselves. With that said, why would Governor Mike Beebe continue to support this plan?
One of the most important issues facing states this legislative session is whether to create a health care exchange to implement the president’s health care law. States are being tempted by words like “flexibility” and very large grants from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to gain their compliance, but states that value health care freedom should resist and refuse to implement Obama’s health care exchanges.

In other words, women dont need help to achieve equality; they just need governments and coercive institutions to get out of their way.
