ROGERS – Americans for Prosperity’s Vice President of State Operations, Teresa Oelke, released the following statement, highlighting Jana Della Rosa’s record on the ObamaCare private option:
“AFP-Arkansas has focused on healthcare, and what the impact of the government take over has had on citizens, since we started the state chapter in 2009. The facts are, during the Rogers Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce State Legislature Candidate Forum, Ms. Della Rosa said, ‘If I had been in the Legislature this past session, I would have voted for it; so you can take that to mean I’m supportive. However going forward, I neither support nor oppose it.
As a grassroots organization with 70,000 Arkansans, it is important to educate citizens on decision makers policy stances. The Private Option is already over budget, which exposes Arkansas tax payers to costs we cannot meet. Arkansans understand we have to balance our budget and meet our financial obligations. We can’t rely on the federal government to bail us out every year.
At the end of the day, this is a very practical issue. Arkansans deserve to know where Ms. Della Rosa stands on the Obamacare Medicaid Expansion. This is a fiscally conservative state. The people of District 90 deserve forthright answers. Especially when it affects their pocketbook.”
