Obama not happy with AFP's "Wasteful Spending" TV ad

AFP Responds to Obama Attacks
ARLINGTON, VA – Immediately following AFP’s launch of a new TV ad exposing how President Obama used billions of taxpayer dollars to fund “green energy” projects and companies overseas, President Obama is once again directly attacking AFP.
“Once again, President Obama is lashing out with distorted, personal attacks instead of taking responsibility for his failed big government green energy boondoggles that have wasted billions of taxpayer dollars in pursuit of his global warming ideology,” said Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity. “The simple truth is, American tax dollars should be benefiting American taxpayers, not foreign workers or politically connected companies and special interests.
“President Obama boasts that he can make the ‘tough decisions,’ but runs from his record when criticized for sending our tax dollars overseas. The American people have the right to a government that puts hardworking taxpayers ahead of politically connected special interests. President Obama promised that if his stimulus was passed, American jobs would be created. Three years and $831 billion later it’s clear that the stimulus failed to jump start the economy. In fact, it wasted hard-earned tax dollars and left us on the hook for the debt.
“Even more revealing, Obama’s campaign is now demanding TV stations stop airing our ad that speaks the truth. It is deeply disturbing that the President would launch an attack on the free speech of millions of Americans and AFP supporters who are concerned about our economic future and energy needs. This is just another example of how President Obama wants to silence any voice that does not comply with his government-knows-best ideology. AFP now has over 2 million grassroots activists across our nation and they will not be silenced in the fight for economic freedom. Going back to 2010, President Obama called AFP the Left’s ‘biggest problem’. In reality, President Obama’s big government, big spending programs are our nation’s biggest problem,” said Phillips.
