HEROIC action by Mesa / Apache Junction Legislator Kelly Townsend

June 17, 2013

17 June 2013

To all LD16 (Mesa / Apache Junction) Taxpayers & Health Care Freedom Fighters:

Please contact Rep. Kelly Townsend and thank her for voting against Governor Jan Brewer’s ObamaCare Medicaid expansion in the recent special session of the Arizona Legislature.  (Her contact info is below.)

Rep. Townsend did the right thing in the face of heavy lobbying by hospital corporations greedy for federal tax money, a media barrage by medical socialists peddling false humanitarian arguments, and a heavy-handed Governor who suspended public debate and  transparency in order to steamroll expansion opponents.  Watch this video to understand the depth of the betrayal and the lack of transparency involved in the Governor’s actions.  And go to our Hall of Shame to see the names of  the GOP Legislators who defected to help the Governor and legislative Democrats pass the ObamaCare Medicaid expansion.

It’s important to thank our Legislators for taking heroic actions.  Your email notes and voice mails can be as simple as, “Dear Rep. Townsend, Thank you for voting against the ObamaCare Medicaid expansion and for defending Arizona’s constitutional taxpayers protections under Prop 108.  Sincerely, Joe & Jane Taxpayer.”   Here is her contact info:

TAKE ACTION:  GET YOUR WALKING SHOES READY…

We will send out email alerts soon detailing our plan for the next phase of the battle to block the ObamaCare Medicaid expansion.  But here’s the upshot: Arizona grassroots activists need to collect signatures for a citizen referendum to stop the legislation and put it on the November 2014 ballot.  Learn more about that effort at http://www.urapc.org/
