Every Representative who voted YES on adjournment refused to stop tax hikes

The reckless decision of the U. S. House of Representatives to adjourn without acting to prevent the biggest tax hike in American history passed by a single vote, 210 to 209 (http://bit.ly/aTy1oI). Every member of Congress who voted for adjournment is responsible for American taxpayers being months away from a huge tax hike. This is an unprecedented level of fiscal irresponsibility.

On the Senate side, 53 Democrats and 1 Republican, Judd Gregg, voted to adjourn without addressing the tax hike. Only one Democrat, Michael Bennet, opposed adjournment (http://bit.ly/ccff5z).

By voting to go home and campaign without acting to prevent the automatic tax hikes coming, these 54 senators and 210 House Democrats effectively voted to raise our taxes and proved that they care more about saving their own jobs than those of thousands of Americans.
