Say NO to ACORN

Many Governors from states like California, Georgia, Louisiana, Minnesota, New York, and Florida have called for extensive investigations into the scandal plagued ACORN. However, Illinois leaders have too many ties with ACORN and have not until stood up for hard working taxpayers to stop this continuing culture of corruption and taxpayer waste.

Through its numerous shell groups and affiliates such as SEIU Local 880, ACORN has been mixed up in corruption in Illinois politics for decades. Illinois State Board of Elections records shows since it began tracking contributions, SEIU has given over $12 million to Illinois political campaigns, both Republicans and Democrats. This includes $538,963 to disgraced former Governor Rod Blagojevich, and $30,750 to current Governor Patrick Quinn. Tell Governor Quinn that this corruption has to stop.

This should not be a partisan issue. It is a basic responsibility of government to investigate and prevent taxpayer dollars from going to corrupt and unethical organizations. Say No to ACORN. Tell Governor Quinn that you want a real investigation of ACORN by signing the petition below.

Dear Governor Quinn,

It’s time for the cycle of corruption in Illinois state government to end. Over the past few years, ACORN affiliates have contributed over $30,000 to your campaign and over $500,000 to your corrupt predecessor Rod Blagojevich. It’s time to show a real effort to stop corruption. I urge you to cut ties with ACORN and call for a real investigation into ACORN and its abuse of taxpayer dollars.

Sincerely,
