Changing the Nation, One State at a Time
Americans are more invested than ever in the future of their nation. Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s Defending the American Dream™ Summit is bringing free-market resources to citizens from all around the country on October 2 and 3 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway Hotel to keep them up to date on the challenges that lie ahead.
“Never before have grassroots Americans been so interested in the challenges facing our nation and our states,” said Tim Phillips, president of AFP Foundation. “We have a sharp lineup of speakers on the most pressing issues – health care, energy, and Net neutrality, to name a few – and we’re excited to give people information they can share with friends and neighbors as they examine important policies being discussed in Congress right now.”
The Summit includes a National Town Hall on health care sponsored by Americans for Prosperity and its health care project Patients First outside the U.S. Capitol at 2 p.m. Friday. That evening, the “Tribute to Ronald Reagan” Dinner will feature radio host and bestselling author Laura Ingraham and Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.). A screening of the film “Not Evil, Just Wrong” will follow the dinner.
Saturday’s general session kicks off at 9 a.m. with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, CNBC host Larry Kudlow, radio host and bestselling author Hugh Hewitt, and many more. The afternoon’s panels include policy updates and grassroots activism training sponsored by Americans for Prosperity.
“The Defending the American Dream Summit gives people a unique opportunity to meet like-minded people from other states and realize that they aren’t alone in their beliefs,” Phillips said. “I can’t wait to hear from all 25 of our state chapters about what they’re doing.”
