Right now, Congress is debating the largest tax increase in history - the "cap-and-trade" energy tax and rationing scheme. "Cap and Trade" Means: Higher Taxes. Lost Jobs. Less Freedom.

"Cap-and-trade" is a tax on energy. The very energy you use to heat and cool your home and operate your car. The very energy used to bring vital goods and services to you and your community.

But, "cap-and-trade" is even worse than a normal tax. Because rather than taxing these things at a specific rate, the total usage of specific energy sources is cut off and rationed. The Obama Administration just admitted (in a closed door meeting with political insiders) that this plan will likely cost taxpayers two or three times the original $646 billion price tag they claimed. In case you're keeping score, that's $1.938 trillion...of course, they thought this was a great thing - more money for the government!

If "cap-and-trade" becomes law, you and I will be forced to pay more for anything that's manufactured, grown, built or shipped. If it passes, this scheme could very well mean a knock-out blow to our already ailing economy. And its passage is a very real threat.
