Global warming ranks last in public opinion of priorities

Today the Pew Research Center released a poll of the public's top priorities for 2010. Not surprisingly, the "economy" and "jobs" are the top priority with 83% and 81% respectively. Coming in dead last is "global warming". Only 28% of people think global warming should be a top priority in 2010.

However, the EPA seems to think they know best. The EPA is on crusade to regulate greenhouse gases at the taxpayer's expense. Essentially, one agency wants to take on the people's lowest priority while destroying the economy, the people's top priority.

Today's new poll is a clear message to Congress that they need to step in and stop the EPA.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn has introduced a bill that would bar the EPA from classifying green house gases as pollutants and stop them from regulating global warming in the future.

It's clear the people want Washington to focus on the economy. The first step is to stop the EPA from ruining it. Congress will certainly face some angry voters in November if they don't stop the EPA from their dangerous overreach of authority.
